it's story time

Okay, I know it isn't exactly ground breaking news, that things don't always go according to plan, but I think I might have set some kind of record for the level of "unplanned-ness" I have reached on this journey to find my purpose. So here's the story, I left my executive job as a corporate “Yes” girl, then went on an un-prescribed chronic illness adventure that led me to literally high-fiving and affirming myself right into entrepreneurship.

I ditched the plan, and instead, started dreaming, exploring, and trying all the things that made me feel alive. Knot Planned is just me, Kelly, not planned. It's a whole vibe. A little bit of this, a little bit of that. One day I'm designing business cards for Mrs. Claus, the next I'm at a craft fair selling my fiber art, and by the end of the week I'm in a garden shooting senior pictures for the afternoon. One, seemingly, has nothing to do with the other.

Or does it? I've come to realize I am the most alive and full of purpose when I am helping others see themselves and the world around us through my creative lens. If I had a nickel for every time I've heard, "You've got a great eye." well, I'd have a lot of nickels. Photography has become, quite literally, my lens of choice. I'm sure I found my purpose to walk within. I hope we can connect and capture all the beautiful things together.

This is truly an adventure of unbecoming anything that is not undeniably honest about who you are right now. I want to make sure that our images are unique, and capture the real YOU! Try a little less of who you think you should be, and a lot more of who you are.

You don’t have to understand why you think it’s beautiful, you just need to decide that it is. The things you find beautiful should directly influence the images we capture. We don't want ordinary, let's capture something beautiful! You deserve images you'll cherish a lifetime.
